Our Yorkshire Dales YAC were out learning about responsible metal detecting over the weekend and what to do if you find anything you think might be important (contact Portable Antiquities or your local museum if you're wondering). Thanks for sharing ๐
Joanne Kirton is taking to the stage at our CIfA #CIfA2024 session to take us on a journey through YAC's history and future, and their great activities, members, and volunteers.
Plus, a little feature from 'Norman' the worm!

Our Greater #Manchester YAC got their hands dirty at the weekend, experimenting with types of pot making.
If you would like to have a go yourself why not try your hand at making a Bronze Age pot ๐yac-uk.org/userfiles/fileโฆ

Fantastic to see #Edinburgh YAC exploring material culture from across the world.
Our YAC clubs often use arts and crafts to explore the culture and heritage of people's throughout history. This is a great example ๐คฉ
Pottery is one of the most commonly found artefacts on many sites depending on the time period and location.
Knowing how to care for and identify it is a great skill to have for any budding #archaeologist !
Looks like Greater Manchester Young Archaeologists Club are honing those skills ๐คฉ
We loved working with Amelie from. Hist&ArchChester to develop activities for our members for last year's #FestivalofArchaeology .
We're really looking forward to welcoming two more students this year and sharing their CBA experience ๐คฉ
