Looks like #Ayrshire YAC have had a fantastic session exploring ceramics.

Ceramics are so useful to archaeologists when trying to date a site and understand it's function (amongst other things)!

Come along this afternoon 1-4pm to find out about maps through time. Have a go at creating your own map! Here's a strip map made by one of our YAC members a little while ago GetOutWithTheKids Kids in Museums Yorkshire Dales National Park

Fantastic to see #Edinburgh YAC exploring material culture from across the world.

Our YAC clubs often use arts and crafts to explore the culture and heritage of people's throughout history. This is a great example 🤩

Pottery is one of the most commonly found artefacts on many sites depending on the time period and location.

Knowing how to care for and identify it is a great skill to have for any budding #archaeologist !

Looks like Greater Manchester Young Archaeologists Club are honing those skills 🤩
