'On this day, Article 23 passed with no objection. Hong Kong’s loss of political autonomy is beyond clear.'

I call on the U.S. gov't to designate sanctions on officials responsible for Hong Kong's further deterioration. Congress should also pass the HKETO Certification Act ASAP.

A #HongKong man's been sentenced to 10 days in prison for 'obstructing police.' He wore a black shirt & held white flowers on Oct 1, 2023 (PRC national day) in Causeway Bay. Judge said he 'caused trouble & posed a risk to public order.' (HKers consider Oct 1 a Day of Mourning.)

The passage of the new national security law in Hong Kong reminds me of Xi's election—a unanimous decision with no objection.
What a joke.
It does not require a genius to understand that there must be A LOT OF OPPOSITION in society for such a controversial law.
