Astounding admission by NT Police Association Nathan Finn, who’s stated publicly what we already knew - a person does not need to spit/ have spat for a person to be restrained with one. What constitutes “aggressive behaviour” is broad. Spit hoods are used to punish & intimidate.

This is beyond sickening. Not only an entirely unreasonable use of force by NSW Police, and an unnecessary arrest, but also, multiple court decisions have held Lim’s almost identical signs to not be criminally offensive. It’s surely time that offensive language laws be repealed.

Truly shocking that the UN torture prevention body has suspended its visit to Australia due to a lack of cooperation from authorities.

It is an appalling failure on the part of Australian governments.
