We would like to say thank-you to Solihull Soroptimists for the beautiful flowers 💐 they donated for the women in our refuge. The women loved the hand wrapped bunches of fresh flowers 💐

We have supported women who spoke Marshallese (Marshall Islands in Micronesia in the North Pacific Ocean), Mandinka (West Africa), Vietnamese and Icelandic. In Birmingham, these communities are small but the need for dedicated language support is great.

It is concerning that so many children in the Family Court are not being consulted on decisions about their future.

Gov has accepted recommendations from my office to enhance the voice of the child in Family Court proceedings. Now is the time for these plans to become a reality.

With 50+ VAWG orgs & academics, we have written to James Cleverly🇬🇧 Home Office to oppose the extension of the MVDAC due to the cliff edge it creates at the end of 3 months for victim-survivors unable to pursue any settlement route.
