Amazing #BrillianceAndStrengths webinar on the report’s equity thread. Carrie Tzou raised Qs educators could ask themselves about expanding what counts as sci&eng and seeing sci&eng as part of justice movements. Enrique Suárez 🇻🇪💚😷 reminded us that this work is *ongoing & never done*. 1/3

Standing ovation for @DrUmanaTaylor after a stirring conclusion about the importance of teaching students about ethnic-racial identity in this time of polarization because “these disparities are, in fact, about race.” #ConstructingTheOther
Excited to see this work grow, especially give them recent call in National Academies report on need to better understand and support knowledge mobilization
I can’t recommend this report enough. These are essential recommendations if research is to help make an impact for young people, particularly for those in communities that have been marginalized in past r&d efforts Adam Gamoran IES Research NCRPP Knowledge Alliance Results for America
If you haven't read the National Academies Report on the future of IES, go do it. This is a fantastic document for pressing IES to center equity in its topics, methods, and processes. Really hoping IES Research takes this up in a serious way! #EdResearch4theFuture
