Great day on the #LabourDoorstep in Blackpool with some great people. People are definitely tired of this Tory nonsense and they’re ready for change with Chris Webb.

It was also great to be canvassing in the lovely Blackpool weather

Great session last night (even if the heavens opened up shortly after we started!) - lots of support for our fantastic Debbie 🌹

This is great news, but we should expect pressure from private interests. Members and unions will need to work against any attempts to water the policy down before and after the election.

Britain’s railways are broken.

Cancellations have soared to record levels, fares have risen almost twice as fast as wages, and taxpayers are paying through the teeth to prop up a failing system.

Labour will deliver a publicly owned railway that puts the passenger first.

For me, patriotism is about caring for one another.

It’s about making sure no-one goes hungry or sleeps on the streets.

It’s about building public services to be proud of and welcoming those seeking sanctuary.

And it’s about Three Lions on the shirt.

Wes Streeting is facing intense criticism on different fronts this week, after a number of recent controversial statements.

The Cass Review disregards years of evidence, proposing implementations that would have potentially disastrous consequences for both trans youth and adults.

No way should a report with uncited claims and limited research scope be accepted so nonchalantly and uncritically.

Solidarity with trans siblings, who are once again being used as a political football.

This report is a poor basis from which to fix our broken trans healthcare system - I urge Wes to listen to young trans voices, who continue to be shut out of discussions on their own lives 🏳️‍⚧️

Listening to residents in #Didsbury today, there was strong support for Councillor Debbie Hilal and the work she has been doing in the area on roads, footpaths and new crossings . People want a Labour government. The local elections are on 2 May Vote Debbie and Andy Burnham Manchester Labour 🐝

Some absolutely amazing workers, proud to have stood on their picket line with them. Their determination and resolve throughout their campaign is an inspiration - when workers come together, they win 💪💪💪
