QUESTION: For those w/ diagnosis or history of cancer, what is (or was) the thing you MOST needed/wanted from your care team during diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship?
I'll go first: to be seen, heard, and held as a whole person - not just a cancer patient

Friends, flowers, and a fire pit!
Husband pulled off a neighborhood early birthday surprise party, and this morning I'm feeling especially grateful for a life partner who gets me and a new community that has welcomed me fully ๐Ÿ’•

Excited to see this Terri Coutee & hopeful ASBrS and those at will consider using term 'right-sizing' or 'personalizing' w/ dignostics & treatment. 'De-escalation' is a frightening word to some patients, implying they are receiving 'less than'

'Stroma Matters'
Many examples of differences in stroma that can help predict recurrence/mets. Beyond using AI to help sort thru all this data, important to expand idea of what makes a biomarker. Everyone so focused on blood/serum but physical properties are key too

New AACR President Patricia M. LoRusso Dr. LoRusso gets right to the heart of things, 'I have a feeling many of you are here because of the recent cuts to the NIH budget.'
BINGO! At the same time, advocacy is used to doing amazing things with very little money so... it's possible
