Senate votes along party lines, 51-49, to find the second impeachment article against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to be unconstitutional. It’s all over now. The Senate is voting to adjourn as a court of impeachment.

The Senate just voted to kill the first article of impeachment against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas by 51-48-1. Senator Lisa Murkowski, an Alaska Republican, voted present. He still faces one other article in the Senate.

The House, after delaying, will deliver articles of impeachment against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate at 2pm Tuesday. Conservatives in the Senate had been encouraging GOP House members to pause in order to make the case to Senate Democrats to hold a full trial.
