This afternoon, Minister Vincent Biruta met with General Roméo Dallaire, founder of the Dallaire Institute. Discussions focused on the Dallaire Institute for Children Peace and Security, established to prevent the recruitment and use of children in armed violence.

.Development Canada Minister Harjit Sajjan joined the Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace & Security, Canada in Rwanda and Burundi and Rwandan security sector actors for a roundtable today in Kigali. Central to the discussion was how preventing recruitment of children in armed violence is integral to broader #conflictprevention .

The Dallaire Institute is grateful for the participation of HE Ambassador Dr Thomas at the 3rd annual K4P symposium. The support from the German government has been significant to our work.
