Despite Israel’s war on Gaza being perhaps the deadliest war for children — almost entirely Palestinian — in modern history, there is scant mention of the word “children” in the headlines of articles surveyed by The Intercept.

Drought, poor agricultural policies, & conflict contributed to migration in/from Syria. This resulted in (sometimes temporarily) abandoned farmland.

The climate-migration-land relationship is v interesting & probably neglected, and it's good to see more work being done on it.
