Was great to take part in hustings tonight in Wanstead focused on environmental issues! Good response to Lib Dem plans to properly fund transport in London, solar panel grants, allotments and more! 🌿

I also can't see how banning something for a 38 year old but it not being banned for a 39 year old is going to work in practice. This ban is illiberal, dangerous, and nonsensical. I would have voted against it.

There already is a smoking ban for children. I do not believe we should be in the business of telling adults what to do with their bodies and I believe it is short sighted to be handing a significant market straight into the hands of criminals.

For a party that is in favour of legalising weed, I didn't expect the Liberal Democrats to be voting in favour of the smoking ban tonight. Have we forgotten the Liberal part of our party's name?

The new smoking ban is a stupid idea. It’s unenforceable, won’t actually work, and it’s completely illiberal on top of that. Adults should be able to make their own decisions!

Londoners are facing a dramatic housing crisis. When Sadiq Khan boasts of his record on housing, people must think he is deluded.

We need to build dramatically more homes.

Today I visited Sutton Lib Dems who have developed their own housing - we can do this across London.

Londoners are feeling let down by the Mayor. Talking to people every week people tell me that they don’t feel safe - whether it’s a stabbing nearby or a car being broken into on their street.
