(1/3) It’s officially the thirtieth birthday of the Breeding Bird Survey. Happy Birthday Breeding Bird Surveys! On 4 April 1994 at approximately 07.05, the first bird species ever recorded by the fledgling survey was noted. It was a Skylark in the Vale of Belvoir, Leicestershire.
Hawfinch arrived on Isle of May, ringed by Isle of May Bird Obs this is 11th in last seven years, certainly increasing on here. And LOOK at that bite mark left on David, the ringers finger!
