Excellent, nuanced look from Geoffrey Skelley at how Israel-Gaza will affect young people's votes this fall. You have to look beyond the protests: abcnews.go.com/538/young-peop…

Amazing work by my FiveThirtyEight colleagues to categorize House members by their voting records and just how much those match (or don’t match) their formal caucus memberships and ideological views. projects.fivethirtyeight.com/types-democrat…

Lots of places have basically marched in one direction since 2012 (just ask rural TN or the Atlanta suburbs).

But others moved significantly in one direction in 2016, only to shift the opposite way in 2020. My latest examines these “pendulum counties.” split-ticket.org/2024/05/01/the…

I think it’s also really easy in this industry to discount younger journalists for their lack of experience but I hope tonight really highlights just how mistaken that assumption is.

Calling this a 'firehouse primary' is extremely generous — just 1 site in the entire state & it appears to have coincided with the party's meeting to select its national at-large delegates and alternates. Those may have been the only people voting!

Anyone have a good explanation for why Bizzarro looks on course to lose to McClelland in the PA state treasurer D primary? I haven't followed it closely, but he had the party endorsement and much, much more $.

Barring an Election Day vote edge for Patel that seems very unlikely, Summer Lee will win the Dem primary in .

In other news, this might be my favorite election of 2024 now. You could have a 3-way race between 3 Dems in a deep blue seat because 2 of them tied for second (barring any changes by state certification). And neither has an incentive to request a recount. nbcbayarea.com/decision-2024/…
