The variation in the price of a pint across England has increased *massively* in the last decade or so.

The impact this has on women’s ability to live independently is massive. At the thinnest end of the wedge, women will remain with abusive partners because they can’t afford not to. More generally, women have less disposable income to be consumers in a capitalist society.

💷 If you’re spending more than 30% of what you earn on rent, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) considers it unaffordable

Using their data, George Goldberg found that for women working full-time and aged between 22 and 29-years-old, there’s only one place which is affordable to rent in England👇
