We explore the differential rates of return globally and find:
1⃣The US exorbitant privilege has expanded to the rich world
2⃣This translates in net income transfers from the poorest to the richest of 1% of the GDP of top 20% countries
So inspiring to see Columbia’s Carolina Concha-Arriagada sharing her life story and her views on the lack of representation of women in Economics. She is really what exemplifies coming from the bottom, a non elite institution in a highly unequal country, to the top 🗽
Are you a PhD student working on Inequality and related topics?
