LSE Department of Economic History had a very successful weekend at the Economic History Society Annual Conference in Newcastle.
We presented two papers in the New Researcher Sessions, five posters in the New Researcher Poster Session, and eleven papers in the academic sessions. 🧵

Thanks to all who attended the EHS conference! A wide range of not just excellent papers, but also new researcher posters were presented. These were very popular, and as such only a few photos exist to underline this!

It was a pleasure to present my poster on the persistence of aristocratic wealth in 19th c. France and the digitisation of the 'Tables des Successions et Absences' at this year's Economic History Society Annual Conference in Newcastle. Had so many great conversations at my first conference!

Returning from #EHS2024 where we presented our paper 'Exploring Women's Work in Early Modern Rural Italy: Insights from the Republic of Venice'. A big thank you to everyone who attended, fellow session participants, and for the insightful comments.

On my way back home after an intense #ehs2024 , in which I had the opportunity to discuss my work in progress. I feel gratefull after receiving a very valuable feedback, attending to very interesting papers and talking again with friends and colleagues after some time!

Jealous (as always) of Linda Perriton's fabulous research into Glasgow's Valuation Rolls. Such an important source that reveals the presence of so many female business owners who are invisible in trade directories. #EHS2024
