Eoghan Daltun 🌍 Bracken is an indicator of good soils that are suitable for oak etc. Saplings do need help to get above the bracken, but once they do so, the dense shade created by trees such as oak, hazel etc drastically limits the amount of light reaching the bracken & reduces its prevalence.
