“96% of deaths by TB in children were of children that were not diagnosed! We know the challenges of diagnosing TB in children but it cannot be used as an excuse.” Tereza Kasaeva from World Health Organization (WHO) at the The Union Conference highlighting the unacceptable gaps in TB diagnosis for children.

In 2022 more people were diagnosed with #tuberculosis since WHO began its global TB monitoring in 1995.

This has started to reverse the damaging impact of the pandemic on the number of people dying from or falling ill with TB.

Today we visited Muananyamala Hospital, in Dar. EXULTANT TB-CAPT diagnostic trial will start recruitment at this facility in the upcoming weeks. Exciting!
