Previously, we and others had found that in interphase the human genome is surprisingly unknotted/unentangled. Now we report that in mitosis chromosomes are self-entangled!

Our MEDUSA paper was published today in Nature Chemical Biology! This is an approach for identifying death-regulatory genes, which we used to clarify different ways cells die following DNA damage.
