“One person can change the world” - Ms. Rosa Parks

The life, legacy, and courage of Rosa Parks is now memorialized for all of Stockton to see as this bus services our city. May this remind us all to “never be fearful of what you are doing when it is right.”

35 years later our community is still healing from the impact of the Cleveland Elementary School shooting.

5 young lives were lost, 32 people injured, and hundreds of families forever changed that day.

We will never forget.

Stockton students gathered this morning for #seeyouatthepole to pray for our city, our schools, and our nation. The youth are our future and their prayers are powerful 🙏🏾

Our 3rd Graders got to meet Mayor Mayor Kevin J Lincoln last week! The mayor teamed up with the North Stockton Rotary to deliver dictionaries to students. This is wonderful local tradition that helps students expand their vocabulary while improving their reading and writing skills!

Yesterday, the Stockton Police Dept Department held a Gun Buyback event as part of our gun violence reduction strategy through responsible gun ownership. 

The event was successful with 112 firearms turned in. To date, SPD has seized over 580 firearms from the streets.

“Our cities have invested millions of dollars into expanding shelter capacity and supportive housing, yet our most vulnerable population remain without behavioral health resources necessary to truly heal.”

22 years. We must stand together as Stocktonians and Americans, allowing the unity, strength, and endurance of 9/11 to remind us to work toward a brighter, more secure future for all.

My niece and I had a blast🚀 celebrating Stockton Hero Astronaut Jose Hernandez at the Prime Video premier of “A Million Miles Away.” We left inspired and encouraged by this truly #Stockton story of grit and determination to achieve big dreams.

#SB43 will reform conservatorship laws and get severely mental ill and addicted people into care.

#SB363 will track available psychiatric beds available in the state.
