The last few days have made more clear that as educators in universities, we need more humility. We need to be humble. The students in our care are not robots to be controlled; their thoughts do not need to be suppressed. We have much to learn from them, if we let them teach.

The police seem to have retreated for now, but will likely be back at some time. I am going to go home to get some sleep so I can be on shift tomorrow, but there are EJP professors on shift over night. We keep each other safe. Goodnight, Northwestern!
