In a new CDC HIV report, we got more evidence that #SocialDeterminantsOfHealth drive #HIV infections among #transgender women of color. We must study and intervene at the social-structural level to reduce the impact of the HIV epidemic among trans people. shorturl.at/cntv6

This weekend, our HISTP fellows are at the annual Winter Institute. At this year's, in Puerto Rico, fellows are attending workshops on tenure and grant writing, visiting the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, and participating in an implementation science seminar.

A few highlights from the HISTP Winter Institute in Puerto Rico:

• Carlos Rodriguez-Diaz, Souhail M. Malavé Rivera, and Edda Santiago discussed the need to increase implementation science work in Puerto Rico, and the need for anti-colonial research to address disparities in HIV
