Waking up to learn Stony Brook University admin called in state police who used disproportionate force to disperse SBU's Gaza solidarity encampment last night. Professors Abena Asare & Josh Dubnau were arrested with students. Shame on you, Stony Brook University!

Daniel José Older campus has been locked to only cuid holders for 2 wks, today faculty were deactivated from campus access and only students in certain dorms allowed in. Wkcr reporters confirmed that students they saw arrested were that — students. >15 years in higher ed and I will never recover

MSM outlets reported numerous lies from police about their brutality.

Rafah was bombed relentlessly.

Sickening to watch this unfold with the backing of university administrators.

Columbia invited the entire police dept over until May 17.

Instead of students taking up space sleeping on the lawn, the police will take up space on the lawn. Cool.

NYPD is supposed to be allowed to remain on Columbia’s campus until 2 days after graduation, as in MAY 17?!? A police occupation is now authorized by the admin for SEVENTEEN DAYS?!

Noticing some folks reasoning that particular students don't deserve a militant police response bc they are 'peaceful.' I don't care if students break windows, shove back, or throw things; none of them deserve a militarized police response. They're protesting a genocide.
