We won the third place in the Alexa Prize TaskBot Competition! 🎉🥉🕺💃 Our bot is the first multimodal task-oriented dialogue bot which has sign language instructions!! 🤟 You can try it out by saying “Alexa, open isabel bot”

Many have said this, but needs to be repeated:

AI surpassing humans on a benchmark is not the same (at all!) as AI surpassing humans on a general ability.

E.g., just because a benchmark has 'language understanding' in its name doesn't mean it tests general lang. understanding.

AI presents both challenges and opportunities. Malihe Alikhani showed us the amazing opportunities to use these systems for good at the YRRSDS keynote. Couldn't have asked for a better final keynote and wrap up in a positive note 👏👏SIGdial
