ā€œThere is also an obvious deterioration in the quality of research. Too much academic writing has become moralised hectoring, designed more to shame and silence critics than to rationally persuade.ā€ thetimes.co.uk/article/why-amā€¦

One of the most absurd false claims of Peter Daszak was when he claimed the Wuhan Institute of Virology did not keep live bats. As he so often does, Daszak offered an absurd excuse when evidence emerged that proved his previous statement false.

'What worked during era of Trump and gullibility of science journalists not used to being misled is NOT going to work now.'

zeynep tufekci has another go at hammering sense into the 'lab leak = conspiracy theory' brigade!

Most people, unlike 'most scientists', will understand her.

Maybe Sharon Lerner and @MaraHvistenl could get Peter Daszak to explain how his March 2022 comments could possibly be consistent with the 2020 email he just released about having 15,000 samples in the WIV freezers and 'could do the full genomes of 700+ CoVs we've identified'

This is the Palestinianā€œceasefireā€ crowd celebrating Iranā€™s attack on Israel.

They donā€™t want a ceasefire. They want an Islamist victory.

It is shocking to learn that Daszak will claim everything is published in public, only to brag in private that he had 15,000 samples in freezers in Wuhan.

The private words of Daszak are more consistent with the volume of biological agents EcoHealth collected & hoarded

'Climate change is an existential threat!'

'Wow, I've got great news for you then. Chinese taxpayers are going to subsidise your transition!'

'No! We need green jobs!'

Think about this for a second:

There are more coronaviruses in the Wuhan Institute of Virology freezer than in all of Genbank ā€¦

'It turns out that Viscount Ridleyā€™s line of questioning was correct all along. The Uppsala adaptation of Fergusonā€™s model not only projected exaggerated death tolls in Sweden. Fergusonā€™s own projections for Sweden advanced similar numbers, all wildly off the mark from whatā€¦

From Daszak's duplicity and Morens' scheming to Fauci's role in damage control across the board, we're slowly learning these key players did exactly what lab origin theory has always hypothesized they did.

Obstruct investigations into research they funded & conducted.

A very positive development in Europe and I don't think this has been reported much in the media during the last few decades.

The suicide rates among young people declined in many European countries.

Ok Prof Gavin Yamey @gavinyamey.bsky.social hereā€™s another chance for you to denounce Angela Rasmussen for calling Alina Chan a ā€œmanipulative conspiracistā€ and mediocrity. Very easy but you just canā€™t do it, because youā€™ve got a double standard.

Some examples of abuse/harassment of Dr Alina Chan. The one on the left from a science blogger who has interviewed Kristian Andersen and Eddie Holmes on his podcast, on the left an assistant biology prof and author of 'Virology'.

'Even while remaining silent you should be documenting this things for potential future use and in your own defense and for history.

Tony is fully aware I think and is I am told involved in some sort of damage control.'

Truly outrageous.

If you are writing a whole article about

(1) how you never fully ruled out a laboratory origin
(2) were always upfront about your doubts
(3) were not misleading by omission

Don't misleadingly omit 'we do not believe that any type of laboratory-based scenario is plausible.'
