Famine – even in northern #Gaza – could still be averted. We need:

🔴 An immediate stop to the fighting
🔴 Full access for aid organizations to reach the entire civilian population

A declaration of #famine means it’s too late. We must act now to save thousands of lives.

Everyday, we are working to get food across the entire #Gaza Strip in a race against famine.
Half the population – 1.1 million people – are experiencing the most catastrophic levels of hunger.
We need access, stability, and peace to be able to reach them before it’s too late.

We appreciate all humanitarian efforts to bring desperately needed food to #Gaza as we all work around the clock to try & avert famine.

𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 | WFP delivered enough food for 25,000 people to Gaza City early Tuesday in first successful convoy to the north since 20 February.

World Food Programme provides him & other community kitchens with food so they can make 500,000 meals for ppl breaking their fast everyday.

What do women carry in a war?

In #Gaza , they carry so many things. Their children, their hopes, their fears.

But most importantly, Palestinian women are carrying Gaza on their shoulders.

#Airdrops are only a last resort to reach Northern Gaza. Road routes are the only way to bring in the large quantities of food desperately needed to avert #famine .
