You’d have thought that if recent history has taught us anything it is that blindly following the lead of the United States costs British social democracy dearly.

The thing is, we all know that if the US called for a ceasefire then Labour would in an instant. Which goes to show this has literally nothing to do with the reality on the ground or any kind of humanitarian principles and everything to do with geopolitical posturing.

No longer able to provide surgeries at Ahli Hosp. The hospital is now effectively a first aid station. Hundreds of wounded now at hospital with no access to surgery. They will die from their wounds

it is now confirmed. gaza is cut off from the rest of the world. full communication and internet blackout. i tried to call my family several times today. the last time i tried, i got an automated message that said, 'all connection with gaza has now been cut off'. ceasefire. now.

I voted to call for a ceasefire.

Bombing hospitals and refugee camps is not self-defence. Neither is depriving two million people of food, water and fuel.

We must demand an immediate end to hostilities, unconditional release of all hostages and the lifting of the siege of Gaza.
