'The requirement of standardized test scores provides the “fairest admissions policy for disadvantaged applicants.”

Common sense says this isn't true given especially how expensive standardized test prep courses are- disadvantaged applicants usually cannot afford these.

In no state has the FAFSA submission rate equaled or increased over last year. In no state has the rate decreased by less than 25%. It hurts to think of how this will compound losses in diversity from the SCOTUS decision.

I hope this research matters. I really do. None of it is surprising. Broader representation in school governance is better. Localizing control under the mayor is alienating and inefficient. In these times though, truth does not always sway politicians and the way they govern.
