🌳 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲-𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘂𝘀 🌳

The Birds on the Edge team joined Chris on his farm in Silpho in the North York Moors to plant trees on the site of a pond we restored last year to support Turtle Dove and other species (it’s already full of life 🐸).

This work was funded by FiPL.

𝗣𝗼𝗻𝗱-𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹💧

The pond we restored in Newton-on-Rawcliffe is naturally regenerating.

Soon it will be a haven for wildlife, including threatened Turtle Dove.

Through our Birds on the Edge project we work with communities to restore key habitat for key bird species.

An exciting new Trust project coming soon with two primary schools in Grangetown.

We will be strengthening children’s wellbeing and development through nature play and learning, nurturing green skills of the future, and forging lasting links with the National Park. 🌿🐛🪵

Today social prescribers from Age UK trialed nature connection activities that will soon be prescribed as part of our jointed Nature Prescriptions project across North Yorkshire. 🌱

This included a practical task improving the coast to coast footpath. 🥾
