Last time an Israeli was kidnapped and killed in the West Bank (3 teenagers), it triggered the 2014 Gaza war . Since we already have a 6-month war there, and many Israelis are being held already, the potential for violence and escalation in the West Bank is that much greater.

According to Settlement Watch data, the year 2024 marks a peak in the extent of declarations of state land.

The Netanyahu-Ben Gvir-Smotrich-Gantz government wants absolute annexation. This will not bring security, neither for Israelis, nor for Palestinians.
