GOOD NEWS Oklahoma docs!! On March 29th, OK Governor Kevin Stitt vetoed SB458, the bill that would have given NPs independent practice. Best statement ever...highlighted in red. THEY MADE A CHOICE. Now they want to move the goalposts. Another governor saw the light. Right on.

These people are so full of hubris!!! I am an emergency physician who has treated thousands of patients… yes, I review the initial radiology study and put in my initial read in order to expedite patient care HOWEVER I’m not a radiologist and I am not competent to do the final…

Following For Fun RT-R,QM, CDE 🇺🇦🌻😷💉+💉 Take Medicine Back PPP - Putting Patients First Those kind of fraudulent practices are rife in corporate medicine. Billing totally designed to be opaque & confusing. When I get my bills for my co-pay, visits, radiologic studies, labs, etc. from my VA, it's so simple to follow. I know exactly what I am paying for.

10)Cigna Healthcare's CEO, David Cordani, is the 3rd highest paid CEO of a health insurance company. His pay increased from 2021-2022. It's s**t like this that makes that possible. This is Hellcare in America today, ladies and gentlemen. Babies don't matter. Families don't matter.

9)then why not a baby? Nothing like second-guessing a physician's decision sitting behind a desk and tapping a check box in less than a second. Pro-publica wrote an outstanding exposé on Cigna's tactics.

8)This is absolute BS Cigna Healthcare. Most of us who follow Dr. Glaucomflecken are aware of Cigna's frequent denials. Hell, if they denied the claim for a physician who was unconscious and critical, thus could not look up whether his insurance Cigna Healthcare was in-network,

7)Now the mother is attempting a 3rd appeal with an outside 3rd party. Taking 2 hours/week to go through her child's records and try to explain the medical necessity of the air ambulance to Cigna. Why is this being left to her when she is not a health care professional?

6)unreasonable expectation but they do it anyway. Cigna Healthcare didn't stop there. They blamed the air ambulance company for having the nerve to bill the patient. They are trying so diligently to 'resolve this for the family' that they denied the mother's appeal. Twice. This is rich...

5)explain, to the non-medical, non-physician, f***ing insurance company Cigna Healthcare, why the f**k an air ambulance is necessary and then look up to see if the air ambulance is in-network. They are out of their cotton-pickin' minds. Insurance companies know this is a highly

2)Unsurprisingly, air ambulance is out-of-network. Mom and Dad get $97K bill. Cigna believes the pt could have gone by ground ambulance & whines that no records show that ground ambulance “would impede timely and appropriate medical care.” If a doc is transferring a patient

We can make burgers cheaper by removing all health inspectors from meat packing plants. Would patients want physicians to forgo education & training because they present a barrier to full practice?

Cigna Healthcare doing what they do best. Denying s**t. 3 mo old baby in respiratory distress-s/p open heart surgery 2 months before. Baby gets intubated at local ED & doc makes decision to transfer to a higher level of care emergently & arranges for air ambulance.

TRT_KING Cigna Healthcare Since 70% of physicians in the U.S. are employed, that would be a yes. Plenty are taking a stand. Some are in groups like Take Medicine Back, PPP - Putting Patients First and Practicing Physicians of America, others are running for office and still others are forming unions.
