The UK has been granted the rather ignominious title here as 'the kingdom of potholes'. As we've said before, the money going into the upkeep of our roads simply isn't enough Mr Pothole
Nearly 3/4 of drivers told the Edmund King OBE they think a Graduated Driving Licence, limiting passengers, is a good idea. Rishi Sunak and Mark Harper don’t agree. Keir Starmer Louise Haigh won’t comment. thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/art…
The story cited our cost of motoring chart which shows the cost of insurance has soared by 224% over the past decade:

RAC Foundation Crystal Owen This, from a highly respected, sector leader RAC Foundation who pride themselves on robust evidence and research. They are one of many organisations who are supportive of #GDL because of the strong evidence behind it. Surely with gathering momentum, Department for Transport can’t continue
If we worry about #ClimateChange , why do we allow monsters like this on the road that do less than 20 miles a gallon and block the carriageway? POSSIBLE Edmund King OBE RAC Foundation Just Stop Oil
Alec Peachey also speaking at today's conference. Here he reminds us that the target is to have 300,000 public chargepoints in the UK by 2030. Let's hope they're of the right speeds in the right places with the right connectivity Transport + Energy

.RAC Foundation director Steve Gooding is speaking at the #EV infrastructure summit at KPMG UK this morning.
At least he's got something to say.
Yesterday we published a study on how poor mobile phone coverage can impact public recharging racfoundation.org/wp-content/upl… Ivo Wengraf (https://weird.autos/@iwengraf)
Our work was reliant on the team at Teragence who provided hexagonal, very small area mobile signal coverage data which we overlaid on our sample of 2,000+ chargepoints. Thank you. Ivo Wengraf (https://weird.autos/@iwengraf) Tim Chatterton
Thanks Times Radio for having RAC Foundation director Steve Gooding on this morning to talk to Calum Macdonald about the less than perfect #EV charging experience caused by patchy mobile signal coverage. Listen at 02:56.00

The Telegraph Breaking News picks up on our research on the poor mobile phone network coverage affecting #EV recharging. racfoundation.org/research/envir… Ivo Wengraf (https://weird.autos/@iwengraf) Tim Chatterton
Thank you for the mention. Forget all the 5G hype, with 3G on its way out many places still don't have a decent 4G signal, which, amongst other things, hampers recharging #EVs .
Well done to Ivo Wengraf (https://weird.autos/@iwengraf) for mapping the patchy coverage

I am delighted that so many academics and experts have supported this letter - the ten who's names were published, plus the many others who support it. They are experts
Huge thanks to The World at One covering this important issue. Our campaigning with Dianne Hayter now means the Government will conduct independent research on the topic
