We’ve been campaigning for a firewall since 2018. Yesterday the House of Lords voted in favour of a firewall amendment to the #VictimsBill .
We're one step closer to enshrining protection for migrant victims in law. It’s crucial this support is replicated in the House of Commons.
The Victims' Right to Review Scheme empowers crime victims to request reviews of police or CPS decisions on prosecution, giving them a voice in the legal process and reinforcing their rights. The info doc from Rights of Women was far more helpful than info from the police or CPS.
The Investing in Safety resources developed by Southall Black Sisters, Latin American Women's Rights Service - LAWRS, Safety4Sisters, Ubuntu and AngelouCentre make a strong financial case for investing in by and for services supporting victim-survivors with NRPF.

An important change was announced today by Ministry of Justice - victims' counselling notes will now be better protected during criminal investigations.
Thanks to EVAW Coalition Rights of Women @rapecrisiseandw and Gabby Bertin for your tireless work to make this a reality.
We are incredibly pleased that the government is backing this amendment to better protect survivors’ right to privacy - no one should be forced to choose between healing & justice. Thanks to EVAW Coalition Rape Crisis England & Wales Centre for Women's Justice and Rights of Women for years of dedicated campaigning!
🚨 CAMPAIGN WIN 🚨
After years of campaigning with our sisters Rape Crisis England & Wales, Centre for Women's Justice and Rights of Women, we're thrilled that the government is changing the law to help #KeepCounsellingConfidential and better protect rape survivors' right to privacy! 🧵
Thank you BBC Woman's Hour for having me on. And thank you to the formidable Rape Crisis England & Wales Centre for Women's Justice EVAW Coalition Rights of Women for their year long campaign to keep rape counselling notes confidential. We did it 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Credit also to Ministry of Justice and Alex Chalk KC MP

Great hearing Gabby Bertin on BBC Woman's Hour talking about our #KeepCounsellingConfidential campaign win!
We hope this much-needed change in law will better protect survivors' counselling notes, raising the legal threshold for when survivors’ notes can be requested by the police.
In my latest report for The Bureau of Investigative Journalism in partnership with Law Society Gazette one mother describes how the evidence of an unregulated psychologist was used by her 'hostile' ex to 'ramp up' harassment of her after she was accused of parental alienation. 🧵 shorturl.at/dsIY7
Psychological assessments by unregulated people should not be relied on in the Family Court.
We are asking the Government to adopt our amendment to the #VictimsandPrisonersBill to stop this happening.
