Whilst the media and news reporters are using heading such as 'new rules to protect sex assault victims privacy' the risk to survivors privacy within the therapy room remains unprotected. #KeepCounsellingConfidential
Survivors of sexual violence have the right to receive specialist counselling and therapy with
no restrictions. Allowing the police to access to their counselling notes deprives them of that
right. We urge the CPS to #KeepCounsellingConfidential
Rape survivors should never have to make a choice between seeking justice and seeking therapy. Routine requests for a survivor’s counselling notes undermine their right to specialist support. Let’s change the law to #KeepCounsellingConfidential bit.ly/3VgbG1O
Survivors of rape and sexual violence need safe spaces to heal from trauma without fear their private counselling notes will be shared with the police and the perpetrator.
We need a change to the law to #KeepCounsellingConfidential
A change in the Victims and Prisoners Bill this week means that victims' counselling notes will now have better protection during criminal investigations, such as rape cases 🙌 Survivors deserve confidential support to heal while pursuing justice
#KeepCounsellingConfidential
The continued and intrusive requests for counselling material, which is so often used against victims and survivors, means that many feel forced not to seek counselling or therapy until after a decision has been reached in their case.
We must #KeepCounsellingConfidential

Great hearing Gabby Bertin on BBC Woman's Hour talking about our #KeepCounsellingConfidential campaign win!
