RCT of Tranexamic acid (TXA) vs placebo in non cardiac surgery published by NEJM this week. TXA reduces bleeding and does not really increase cardiovascular events (although the paper suggests this is not definite, it is good enough for me). tinyurl.com/384zk2xc
