Well done Ruth Hall on a very strong result. The only party to increase vote share in the election. Hard work, listening to people and addressing their concerns matters.

I'm incredibly proud of Scottish Labour and especially of our fantastic candidate Ruth Hall.

In 2022, Labour was in third place. This year, we came out on top with the most 1st votes with nearly a 10% rise in support.

Change is coming to Glasgow.🌹

We may not have won this, but Ruth Hall and the Scottish Labour team have delivered the largest share of first preferences ever for Labour in this seat.

There’s not been much comment on the fact Labour has gone from 3rd to 1st, pushing The SNP into 3rd.

I get there are optics, but an incredibly good result for Labour and a great test of support. A joint bloody well done and commiserations to Ruth Hall on a great campaign.

Commiserations to Ruth Hall. A remarkable result nonetheless. Labour has never topped the poll in Hillhead, and this is Labour’s largest share in the ward ever.

Thanks to all the amazing support, we came from 3rd in 2022 to beat the SNP into 2nd, have eaten into the greens lead and came 1st on first preferences with a 10% increase whilst everyone else’s fell!!

Thank you to every resident in Hillhead who voted for @RuthHall1 today.

She got the most first preference votes of any candidate and while every other party’s share of the vote fell, Scottish Labour’s was up by almost 10%.
