Thank you to Stirling Castle and Historic Scotland for inviting children & families to take part in a parade with the Balaklava Pipes and Drums band. The children and young people were gifted toy pipes, then treated to a teddy bear hunt and lunch at the castle banqueting table afterward. Yum!

Aaron is a sibling supported by our Rachel House team. He loves drawing dragons and has been practicing so much that he wanted to update a picture that he drew last year. Look at the detail he has now added in! Thanks to our Activities Team for sharing Aaron’s wonderful work. 💛

Rachel House received a visit from the Carnegie Canines Flyball team, welcoming dogs and their owners. Dogs provide comfort and therapy to those big and small, helping encourage activity and communication. The children and families loved taking part - thank you for the visit! 💛

Thank you to Claire from Music Bugs who delivered a sensory music experience for children and families staying at Rachel House. The session was filled with laughter, singing, bubbles, and lots of smiles from children and parents. 💛

Opened in 1996 by Princess Anne, Rachel House was Scotland’s first children’s hospice and has been not only a place of support and respite but also a space for families to spend precious time together, creating treasured memories. 💛

It was humbling to join other MSPs at the Children's Hospices Across Scotland reception at the Scottish Parliament this week. Thank you so much to CHAS staff and their fantastic volunteers for the amazing work you do supporting children and their families 🙏
