My daughter & I had a blast at this #LunarNewYear event in the #YearOfTheRabbit ! Thank you SweetwatersCoffeeTea for hosting this #LionDance . Was lovely seeing #A2council members Linh Song Ayesha Ghazi Edwin Chris Watson!
There have been multiple crashes here, including one that severely injured a pedestrian. It’s a 4-lane boulevard that people regularly drive 50+mph. No injuries this morning, but sadly it’s just a matter of time.
Multilane roads do NOT belong near pedestrians. #a2council
This wasn’t an episode of Parks & Recreation; it was over 30 neighbors (condo owners) showing up to express their sincere outrage & anger that a developer would propose a 225-unit complex on an open field next to a Whole Foods in the midst of a housing crisis. #a2council
Apparently the façade on the downtown Ann Arbor District Library is coming loose and threatening to fall off.
Remember that time we had a bond proposal to replace this decrepit building with a cool new one, but local conservatives ran a misleading & fearmongering campaign to defeat it? #a2council
Very happy to see this pass the first stage of approval. UM students should not have to compete to pay exorbitant rent for a limited supply of poorly-maintained apartments. Modern, abundant housing is achievable, and one block from campus is the right place to start. #a2council
Found the one thing that can make me a NIMBY #a2council (jk, way too old for this, but hopefully they can relocate that sticky dance floor and maybe even get doors on the bathroom in the process). mlive.com/news/ann-arbor…
#A2Council Meredith about to add some nuance about what the landlord is really doing here
Pedestrian streets, public water fronts and ice cream. Solid combo for a college town. Visiting U of Vermont and their Community Centered Design program. Ann Arbor is missing something #A2Council
