UMich Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine @UMich President Ono should be dismissed for unleashing violence and arrests against a peaceful and educational Gaza encampment! It's a serious crime.
And every member of the Ann Arbor City Council ( #a2council ) needs to explain why their city police helped Ono do this to his students!
Passed our budget at #a2council without much issue, no structural defecit for another several years with plans to grow with economic development and with more affordable housing. Now at #a2schoolboard to learn how they’ll balance their budget. It’s a two-fer in local politics.

Do they approve of using their police force this way in Ann Arbor?
Do they feel they can stamp out students' divestment demands with brute force?
Is this how the 1st Amendment works in Ann Arbor, regarding Gaza?
Very happy to see this pass the first stage of approval. UM students should not have to compete to pay exorbitant rent for a limited supply of poorly-maintained apartments. Modern, abundant housing is achievable, and one block from campus is the right place to start. #a2council
Just got an email from my landlord asking whether we'll renew my lease for 2024-2025. If we renew now, our rent will go up 'only' $500/month, or $6,000 more next year. My current lease ends mid Aug 2024. *THIS* is why we need #RentStabilization !! #WTF #A2council
