Two Baton Rouge police officers wrestled Sterling to the ground, cursing at him, and shot him 6 times after a 911 call about a man selling CDs outside a convenience store.
Neither officer was criminally charged.

East Baton Rouge metro council approved a $4.5 million settlement to the family of #AltonSterling , almost 5 years after police killed him.
Police shot Sterling 6 times at close range while responding to a call about a man selling CDs. No officers were charged.
Hawaii Republican candidate Nick Ochs once said that #AltonSterling , a victim of police violence, “was a piece of shit” that “lived about 20 seconds longer than he should have expected to.”
A judge dismissed 1 of 2 officers involved in the killing of #AltonSterling from a wrongful death lawsuit.
