3 white men chased and shot Arbery as he was jogging, claiming protection under a 'citizen's arrest' law once used to justify slave patrols. Georgia later repealed the law.
Police did not arrest them for 74 days, after video leaked.

A Georgia judge has refused to dismiss misconduct charges against former DA Jackie Johnson, who is accused of hindering the investigation into the 2020 killing of #AhmaudArbery . We continue to advocate for FULL accountability and justice for Ahmaud!
