SRSG's message to the children was clear: 'You deserve protection, you deserve your dignity. Let's #ActNOWtoEndVAC by listening to the experts - our #children . 'You know better than all of us on what we can do better & how we can build on your strengths, abilities & capabilities'

Because of how they work and live, #ChildDomestic workers are often invisible and disconnected from services, including protection.
Being invisible prevents them from fulfilling their rights, “development”, wellbeing and protection.

Chief Mukuni and Queen Mukuni advised the SRSG on VAC how women (matriarchy) set the cultural by-laws in their chiefdom, safeguarding gender equality and promoting equal access by boys and girls to social services! So very interesting. Together, let us #ActNOWtoEndVAC !

The perpetuation of traditional ‘discriminatory” female roles and the perception of domestic service as part of a woman’s “apprenticeship” for adulthood and marriage are influencing factors.
