Spent the afternoon with the front-line team at Siksika Nation, east of Calgary. Their culturally specific outreach is inspiring and helping their community heal. It was an honor to learn their best practices. They are showing that recovery is possible! #AlbertaModel

I attended the protest outside the #ROSC #AlbertaModel meeting at Hyatt in #yyc today to support and bring awareness about harm reduction and safe supply. It was nice to meet Euan Thomson Haruun Ali 🍉 Moon’s haunted and others in person. #safesupply saves lives.

From inside the conference, the protesters' concerns are valid. It is pushing this model while belittling everything that doesn't align with what their vision of recovery is, very paternalistic and agenda-driven.
