I am very fond of sheep in churches & the James Powell & Sons' 1906 window in St Peter's Stockbridge portraying the Good Shepherd exceeded my expectations.

The flock was handsome & numerous but it seemed that each sheep was also treated as an individual!

I can only process the genius of Douglas Strachan one light at a time.

Here in the chapel of Westminster College chapel, I was fascinated by the tumultuous stream of birds, flowing from right to left.

I thought I might have spotted a Douglas Strachan egret!

Sheep and wool were vital parts of the medieval economy. Here, on a beautifully carved c16C bench end they are celebrated. St Mary’s, Sprotbrough

While we're braving the west tower here's something to cheer us up. The stained glass of the west window which the Mouse found exquisite and it has some animal friends in it including some bunnies.

At first glance, you might miss the two peacocks (not the big eagles) at San Pietro, Spoleto, .
There’s a lot going on with all those arcades and ornament, but they’re there!
