For #ArchiveFashion day we have samples of lace made by W Ball & Sons of Ilkeston. Founded in the 1820s making shawls, laces, nets and glove fabrics, they later specialised in the development of flame-resistant gloves. The firm still operates in Ilkeston as Baltex Fabrics Ltd.
