With the next few days set to be hot, remember:
🔥Phone 999 if you see fire or smoke on the moors – don’t assume someone else has reported it

Mytholmroyd Firefighters have been out this weekend educating & engaging, highlighting the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) that’s in place across West Yorkshire #BeMoorAware 👏🏼👍🏻🚒
Green watch spent the morning perfecting new techniques to deal with fires in high rise buildings. Deploying hose in high rise buildings can prove problematic due to restrictions in space. A big thank you to the Crowne Plaza Hotel allowing us to use their building #BeMoorAware
Do *not* under any circumstances light a BBQ or open fire if you're out & about in the Dales & Peaks this bank holiday.
Fires are banned in all our parks & open spaces. If you take a picnic instead, take your litter home pls.

Some much-needed rain at last. Let’s hope it’s falling on Marsden Moor and helping out our West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and National Trust colleagues. #bemooraware
Don't get fired up if you're heading outdoors this Easter 👇
Remember that BBQs or campfires are not permitted in the countryside across the #PeakDistrict at any time of the year. 🔥

With the onset of this hot weather our anxieties are raised. The lure of heading out into our enviable countryside is irresistible. However, please resist the temptation to take BBQ’s, glass bottles, tin foil or anything that could initiate a flame #BeMoorAware
Thinking of having a BBQ on heathland this weekend?

A carelessly discarded cigarette can kill hundreds of animals & destroy thousands of rare & vital plants!
Moorland fires not only impact on our resources, but they also affect the flora & fauna.
Let's keep our moorlands safe from fire so everyone can enjoy them. #BeMoorAware
We need your help!
With the hot weather upon us, the risk of wildfires increases.
Please do not take BBQs into open spaces & onto the moorlands
Do not have wild/camp fires
Discard cigarettes responsibly
Ensure all glass bottles & rubbish is disposed of responsibly #BeMoorAware

Yesterday we spent our shift assisting SYFR and local Game Keepers in securing the scene of a wildfire on Agden Side Road in Bradfield. It is likely a tab end that caused the fire, please do not throw tab ends out of your car window.
The weekend is here!
If you're planning to spend it outdoors, remember to do so safely:
🔥Keep the BBQs at home
🥪Pack a picnic instead
🚭Dispose of cigarettes responsibly
🚮Always take your rubbish with you
#BeMoorAware
🔥😡Includes slinking around at dusk, dumping your household waste, then setting it on fire, in a field full of cows.. 🐄
A beautiful sunset, then came across this last night. STUPID and THOUGHTLESS!
☎️Report all fly-tippers! #WednesdayWisdom #ruralcrime #bemooraware #StayAlert
Yesterday our wildfire units from Bolton North and Littleborough, along with our air unit and Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service wildfire units, attended a moorland fire off Rooley Moor Road, Rochdale.
🔥 The fire was extinguished using specialist equipment.
#BeMoorAware - see a fire 📞 call 999.
Team 2 was called to attend baitings dam today due to reports of bbqs being used.
