Coillte have committed to rewet 30k hectares by 2050. 79k from Bord na Mona and another 30k from Coillte EXCEEDS Ireland's agricultural target of 116k for 2050.

Looking at the maths, a successful court action against Coillte on replanting Sitka Spruce on steep peat would tick a lot of boxes

bullshit, the mitigation measures are token at best, and in no way offset the destruction that Coillte are causing in my hills

most of the sites I'm referencing are in Wicklow hills

but 4,000 Ha of the Bord na Mona landbank in the midlands is currently leased to Coillte

I understand it's all being drained and replanted with spruce

these BnM/Coillte sites need mapping and monitoring
