Great driving on the M1 nr Garforth today, this driver is so skilled he can use his mobile phone whilst driving! #fatalfour
He didn’t even notice us filming him

The ones that got away.
I saw these three phone fiddlers drivers the same day that I saw six others, all within the space of 35 minutes. The other six I reported for phone use, but the evidence for this three I felt was not good enough for the Police to proceed.

Good morning - how was your weekend? Quick reminder of the #fatalfour as we come to the end of April. Drink & drug driving, mobile phones, speed & seat belts - if you stick to the rules on these four you can help to save lives. #barnsley #doncaster #sheffield #rotherham
FATAL FAILS: Good morning South Yorkshire. Please help us to spread the word on why wearing a seat belt matters. 17-29-year-olds are dying on our roads because they are failing to 'click'. This has to stop. #barnsley #doncaster #sheffield #rotherham SYP Ops Support #fatalfour
60% of people killed on Britain’s roads die on rural roads. #SlowDown #NotWorthTheRisk

On you way to see your mates? Remember, rural roads can change quickly, so be that mate that gets there safe. #NotWorthTheRisk THINK!

You can’t focus on two things at once, any distraction whilst driving can be dangerous and risks everyone in your vehicle as well as other road users.
Keep your 👀 on the road at all times and drive #PhoneFree #fatalfour SSRP
Drivers who use a mobile phone while driving are slower at recognising and reacting to hazards, less aware of what’s happening around them, fail to see road signs and often fail to maintain proper lane position and steady speed

Week 4 of the South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership (SYSRP) #fatalfour campaign focuses on seatbelts. Wearing a seat belt reduces the risk of death for drivers by 50% yet, nationally, 4 unbelted young people were killed or seriously injured every week in 2022.
Please wear your seatbelt for every car journey.
Drivers and passengers who fail to wear seat belts in the front and back of vehicles are breaking the law.
For those aged 14 and over, failure to wear a seat belt could result in an on-the-spot fine of £100. If prosecuted, the maximum fine is £500. #fatalfour South Yorkshire Police South Yorkshire Fire
THE LAW: The law on seat belts for children changes based on age / weight so make sure you know the rules to keep your loved ones safe. As a VERY basic guide, you MUST use a child restraint up to 135cm tall / aged 12: goodeggcarsafety.com/choosing-a-car… South Yorkshire Police South Yorkshire Fire #fatalfour
As part of the #fatalfour campaign, we are talking about seat belts. But do you know the law when it comes to child seats? goodeggcarsafety.com is a great website to check you know what is & isn't legal. Good Egg Safety CIC #barnsley #doncaster #sheffield #rotherham #children

WHHAAAAAT? We can't actually believe we are seeing this! Imagine seeing a car being driven towards you on the M1. This is what happens when you drive under the influence - it's not safe & it puts lives at risk. #barnsley #doncaster #sheffield #rotherham #fatalfour SYP Ops Support
