#Ida proved destructive to the region, at 34 deaths and approx. $55 billion in damages. Its landfall intensity tied with two others as the most powerful on record in the state.
August 29th marks the anniversary of two historic (and historically devastating) hurricane landfalls in Louisiana: #HurricaneKatrina in 2005 then #HurricaneIda sixteen later on the same date.
