First meet up in person since #ICantSayMyName was broadcast with my former NHS speech therapist (now friend) Carolyn. I first saw her at the age of 11 for help with my stammer and I owe her so much more than I could vocalise here #stammering

I'm well known in my community for having a 'distinctive voice'. What people don't realise is that voice has come from many years of managing a stammer so I can go about my profession. Most people don't realise I have a stammer. #ICantSayMyName

And just this morning I called my GP and spoke to a receptionist. I was told to ‘hurry up’ and to ‘try again later’, all because #ICantSayMyName . This societal shift needs to change, NOW.
